Memory
This game has been played under many names—Concentration, Matching Pairs, Pelmanism, Memory—and for good reason: it is one of the few games that works equally well as a children's classic and a quietly absorbing solo pastime.
The rules are timeless. All cards are placed face down. On each turn, two are flipped. A matching pair stays; a non-match is turned back over. The game ends when all pairs have been found. No opponent needed — just you, and what you can remember.
We call ours Pairs. Because some things are worth holding onto: a colour, a shape, a fleeting moment recognised twice. That is what Oriole is about — and it is what he hopes this game will be too. A small moment of play. A little joyfulness, just for you.
